Re: One Click VR - Ricoh Theta

Post by Keith »

Hello I am using a Ricoh Theta V with a Trimble TX8 scanner.
I believe that the stiching from my Ricoh Theta V does not do a great job which causes problem for Realworks to match them perfectly.
The adapter is at the same height than the scanner and the stiching from the Theta is done directly in the mobile app from Ricoh.
Does anyone have a way to correct this?
Thanks for your help!

Hi Keith,

it may be caused by Real Works cutting off zenith area with no points in it (on most exterior scans when you are not stationed directly under a canopy) on import (Faro scanner, dont know if it does with TX8). A workaround is to hold something above the scanner for a second or two during scanning to capture some overhead points. Then during import Real Works keeps all panoramic image and Real Color match works well. Hope it helps.

Regards,
Jiri
