Setting Up a Wireless Connection to the Focus 3D

Post by 3DForensics » Fri Nov 30, 2012 3:28 pm

This tutorial shows how you can enable and setup a Samsung Galaxy Tablet to control the Faro Focus 3D scanner. This is especially useful when using the scanner on a tall tripod or difficult to access area. The tablet is also much better for viewing menu screens outdoors since the screen is larger and brighter than the scanner's on board touchscreen.

I think you've missed out on the more recent updates...HTML5 is possible on just about any device.

Basic instructions...

Use your device to log into the scanner's WiFi. You will need the default password (usually 0,1,2,3...9)
go to a browser and enter 192.168.43.1

That's it.
