Problems with Register360 registration and export
I'm having a recurring issue with Register360. I follow normal procedures, Align scans, apply control, Optimize bundles, then proceed to finalize the registrations. The Issue is that the exported scans are misaligned, even though they are aligned in the register 360 view. Furthermore, when I close and reopen the registration the scans are misaligned and the target errors are wildly off. I've tried finalizing as a new registration but I'm still not getting any changes in the previous registration. I've gotten to the point where I'm going back to using core as I cannot rely on this software. Any thoughts or ideas welcome.

Stick with core. That will stay my primary until Leica stop supporting it.

The problem is the wasted hours already put into register360 and now we need to go back and Audit everything done using the software. This is quite unacceptable.

Re: Problems with Register360 registration and export
I've never experienced anything like this or seen Register 360 change the registration/links when going to export or finalize registration. Simple check, but which version of Reg360+ are you using? The 2023.0.3 version released a couple weeks ago incase you haven't updated. Curious to see if that changes anything.Hobbitfoot wrote: ↑Fri Sep 15, 2023 8:15 am I'm having a recurring issue with Register360. What are your normal procedures? Are you using C2C on everything or using target based matching also. What scans from what instrument are you bringing in-just curious.
We have always optimized bundle BEFORE applying the control. our control is used to tie to project coordinates once our registration residual and global errors are seen as acceptable-in our case always state Plane coordinates. Like Kruse said, what version are you using? The older versions I believe would skew when bundle wasn't locked, but the new version I believe LOCKS the bundle automatically when choosing apply control
