I am using cloudcompare and producing slices for 2d floor plans.
Does anyone know of a "SLICER" program?
Thinking the command line version might look something like this:
SLICE (filename) (# of inches or centimeters) (units - in/cm) (thickness of slice) (X, Y, or Z) (maximum height)
SLICE myfile.las 24 in 6 Z 96
would produce a separate file for every slice every 24" in 6" thick in the Z direction up to 96" high.
Thoughts?
Does something similar exist?

Yes. FARO's SCENE does that with the multiple clipping box routine in any direction. any space separations any thickness.

In CloudCompare, you can use the -CROSS_SECTION option of the command line mode (see https://www.cloudcompare.org/doc/wiki/i ... _line_mode)
