We're having an issue where 6 of 20 scans will display fine in Quick view, but nothing is visible in 3D view. (Latest version of Scene).

Scans before and after are all fine, just a random in the middle of a job that don't display correctly.

Data has been sent to our vendor support team.
[We too have sent of data to FARO for them to to have look at. I spent a couple of hours with support yesterday on remote access to my laptop tottery and solve the problem. ]

To check if it is a problem of large coordinates, open the 3D view and look at the camera position (see red circle in screenshot)
scene.png
If you see very large coordinates probably an object below the scan in the hierarchy exists with large coordinates. You can double check this if you right click on the scan and select locate. The camera should be moved to the actual scan points. Only solution so far is to find the object with the large coordinates and delete it.
Hi Daniel
Spent an hour or so on the phone with Mahmoud in support yesterday. I have air bridged that project file to him to have a look at. He remote accessed my laptop at the time but with no success in finding the answer. I did point out the large number of the camera position you have marked! And like you mentioned right click a scan and locate the individual scan then appears.
Kind reagards
Ron

Hi Ron,

I talked to Mahmoud and he gave me access to your project.
As I thought there were some invalid points:
floor_B_BL/Mac006/Point3d19
floor_LG/Mac035/Point3d18
floor_LG/Mac035/Point8
floor_LG/Mac040/Point2
Just remove those from your project and the views will work as expected.
The problem is on our internal bug list.

Regards,
Daniel

Thank you daniel and to Mahmoud and the rest of R & D for your efforts. I have removed the points as suggested and all is good with the project
