Issue with Importing registered .fls files

Post by XD_Resources »

Greetings LSF members,

I have a problem importing registered FLS files into Recap. I receive an error that says "Recap has encountered an error importing this file" and it will be removed
Client says the fls files are importing into his recap just fine. I have updated my recap and installed the latest version but still getting the same error. What could be the problem?

Thanks for your time

Hi,

This may sound weird but are you trying to import a RCP in Recap? Or are you importing just a couple of fls ? What does registered fls mean? What were they registered in?

Hello, Mamon.

Apologies for the late post, but did you ever find out the cause of this? I have had similar problems and am curious to know if a solution was ever found.

This is often due to temporary lost of connection between recap and the fls folder. Crash recap, reopen it, reimport those fls, it should now work. This could be for various things, something network related or sometime just because recap feels like being annoying that day.

Other time this happens is file is corrupted. Then there is more scene loops. Try to open the problematic scan in scene and see if you can view the 360 image, if an error appears you will need to delete that scan and reimport it from the original .fls folder file from the sd card.
