WEDNESDAY (Exhibition, 2nd day of InterGeo 2017)

Ran into Juergen Dold, President of Leica-Geosystems at the Hexagon InterGEO 2017 booth. We talked about Hawaiian coffee and my BLK360, which I brought to InterGeo 2107. He said if I had any problems with the BLK360, I should call him.

At one of the many booths at InterGeo 2017, I spoke with a person that told me that the BLK360 has a profiling mode that might be used to capture AEC data using it with another device.

But no ports?

Not long after announced - I met with a few robotics groups looking to strap the BLK to something like this little guy:

http://www.omron.com.au/products/family/3664/

Drop a few into a shopping centre after closing time .. set them to 5m grid scan or something .. come get them in the morning.

.. ala Prometheus ..

But no port for control? No API? No power port? Whilst not deal breakers, would no doubt make life easier.

Be great to use the BLK for integration .. interesting to hear about profiling mode .. not long now till it is hanging under an Aibotix or DJI .. maybe Vegas next year? Any one in?

I uploaded my Autodesk Recap Pro Mobile 1.1.10., iOS 11, and I already had my Leica BLK360 firmware 1.0.3 installed. I think iOS 11.0.1 is available, but have not upgraded it yet.

I will wait until the middle of the month, October 18th, to see if Leica Register360 and any firmware show up.

I did the same. So far much better on all fronts. Scan and registered about 10 scans in the office on the ipad and it worked great.

Can anyone inform me how much time wants someone to set up BLK 360 in every station and scan at medim resolution?

I believe it's around 4 min with color. Scanner can be moved as soon as it stops spinning (ring goes green and ReCap will 'ding').

Hoping it's not vaporware. Waiting for ours to be ordered delivered. Saw a forensic guy in another thread had one mid september , but not sure whether that was a demo unit or a delivered unit

We have had our BLK360 since June 20, 2017.

It would be interesting to know what applications a County DOT would be using the BLK360 for considering the range and some of the LSF listed current potential problems with dark/and or wet surfaces.
