Point cloud software specialists Pointools have announced the availability of their eagerly-awaited flagship product, Pointools Edit.

Key Features
Pointools Edit is a post-registration toolkit building on View Pro to enable rapid cleaning, segmentation and re-colouring of point clouds. Pointools say that its unique layer system allowing users to move points between layers enhances workflow and dramatically increases productivity. Pointools Edit adds two main areas of functionality to View Pro:

Editing
Selection of points by rectangle, fence, 3d brush, plane and more. Points can be moved or copied into layers for segmentation or deleted. Each layer can be exported as a separate point cloud or file.

RGB Paint
RGB values in point clouds can be re-touched using a colour matching and 3d brush with layers for masking and precise control. Photo editing filters such as brightness/contrast, hue/saturation can also be used. More
