I think a rtc360 is about 60k € here so 2/3 of a riegl but a much more versitale instrument imho. But it all is workflow. If you're happy with your Faro, Leica's, Topcons,... you should stay with it. Even if there is faster stuff around.Mike Annear wrote: ↑Fri Jan 21, 2022 1:11 pm Sorry Lieven,
I meant about $80K Aussie, ($60K USD ) I think your scanner is about $140K (Aussie) on the same scale.
I have used Riegl scanners a lot for mining work,(Training mining surveyors) I was the first person to test a VZ-1000 in the field in Australia

A mobile mapper is faster then myself an a riegl but i don't care. Much of the time spent on a job is travel time and a mobile mapper doesn't change that so a few hours more on site doenst' bother me. I always count job in days, not hours.
