We recently upgraded to 2021.4.0 on all our machines, mainly for the benefit of running Swift application. But there appears to be a rather significant bug experienced by all our computers with upgraded Scene:
The auto-detection of spheres does not honor the sphere matching settings we have in the new user interface. We have also updated the matching in the old interface. Alas, all found spheres are of incorrect sizes. I didn't write it down, but they appear to be 0.063xx M or similar. That is not, nor has it ever been a sphere radius (diameter) of any of our spheres. Has anyone else experienced the same thing? Do you have a workaround? Perhaps there is some txt file on my computer that needs deleting or editing? It was an "overwrite" installation, so no prior version installed.
This makes large scan projects very time consuming to manually detect all spheres. It doesn't seem to affect manual sphere detection, which honors the sphere matching sizes we enter.
Also, and perhaps related, about 75% of manually detected spheres produces an error message (27 or 47), and sometimes multiple errors. It goes away and successfully creates the Sphere Radius object when dismissed, but it is an unsettling and time consuming click-sequence that adds up!
Lastly, it appears the yellow selection area for sphere detection is far more finicky than it used to be. At times, it requires several attempts to get the yellow selection to encompass the majority of the sphere, and often requires a circle or oval selection to manually select the area of the sphere. Can't we do better Faro?

The workaround: Downgrade to or install in parallel Scene 2021.3The auto-detection of spheres does not honor the sphere matching settings we have in the new user interface.

Interesting tho, that you didn't include a note in the Release Notes regarding this issue...
