Much faster transfer speeds.
Yeah, you are correct. I have one of those. My problem now since a bunch of apple update to the ios is that the "ETHERNET" option does not pop up under the settings when I connect that setup to my laptop. The WIFI connection from an iPAD to the new version of Reg 360 is pretty fast with a new laptop. Not sure what WIFI version is running on that between the Laptop & the Ipad pro.
In regards to getting data directly from the BLK360, you still are hampered by the slow wifi version on the BLK360. Maybe the newer ones have AC wifi??
How about it Leica? Fastest production Wifi in the new BLK360's

BLK360 has been a versatile instrument for us, and it gets continued use.

Field360 works with android. I have wondered if there is a cabled transfer to REG360 from android for a faster transfer.
I have also wondered if iCloud Backup could sync a Field360 project to an iPad back in office.

Recap Mobile is not available anymore.

You can copy Cyclone FIELD 360 projects from Apple or Android devices and send them to user in office via filemail , WeTransfer etc

They can then to upload back onto another Apple or Android device to import into Register360 via WiFi.

Removes the need to have the actual tablet/smartphone which was on site in the office to import Cyclone FIELD 360 project.

All we need is a proper data transfer workflow between Field360 and Reg360.
It doesn’t matter if it happens via usb, ethernet or wireless, Reg360 must be able to import any Field360 project, independently whether the app is connected or not.

I had never thought of this before. What is the best method to copy the Field360 projects from the device to be able to send them back to the office? Is this something that can be done just through the device or will you need to use a laptop/PC to copy it off? Assume you could use a cable connection if laptop/PC was required?

This method is only for BLK360 projects.

See attached PDF for method.

Seriously ??
Leica 3D scanning hardware and software products are the most expensive on the market,
Yet those products cant even talk to each other ?..
It would be great to see a diagram showing the file format transfer process from one leica software product to another, and also the import/export file formats to industry CAD / Modelling packages.

Yeah, when i hear stories about dedicated Leica usb sticks, only wifi transfer, downloads and imports which take ages.
How good their gear is hardwarewise, i will never buy it.

Agreed. After working with one for a few weeks the frustration level I had with it was off the charts. I simply can't figure out why Leica didn't outfit it with a simple Ethernet or USB 3.0 port. Would have cost tiny dollars per unit. If it had that one little feature I would have instantly bought three of them for my company.

Considering that the BLK360 was released in 2017 and is over 4 years old, what is the usual update or upgrade of firmware?
I've been looking at purchasing a second hand unit, any thoughts of what they are worth?
Much appreciate any replies.

Thanks
