Re: Best Viewing Software for Clients
Hello
Cintoo cloud https://cintoo.com is an excellent tool for sharing scan data with your customers.
Replying to James Rye's earlier comment, your clients can download and export scan data as point cloud in Unified RCP / RCS for crops. You can also download/export scan data as point cloud in structured e57 for entire projects or work Zones.
You can also create and export unified 3D Meshes in OBJ and FBX formats .
There are 5 different viewers, plus a 'share' viewer that you can send to clients (with your logo in the lower corner).
You can also overlay the BIM/CAD model to the scan and compare using the Visual Difference and Visual Check tools and generate a heat map based on tolerance input. You can also compare scan/scan in the same way.
In terms of collaboration, you can create crops, work zones and annotate scan data (creating notes and issues with integrated screenshots and URLs) and then share all of this amongst your team or clients.
The Cintoo Cloud 30 day free trial is here: https://cintoo.com/trial.html
For more information, take a look at:

and a full feature list plus pricing is here https://cintoo.com/pricing.html
Please get in touch if you have further questions.

I'm a county government and unfortunately the uploader *.exe. keeps getting blocked-doesn't pass our security clearance, so I may have to have my IT guy download it so I can load my sample data to CINTOO

Re: Best Viewing Software for Clients
Until you figured that out you can already test NavVis: https://www.navvis.com/cloud
No installation of any tool required.
Btw: have a look at this thread that I just started to get feedback on the new features we are just releasing: https://www.laserscanningforum.com/foru ... 25&t=15869
Would love to hear what we can do for your applications.

Re: Best Viewing Software for Clients
Probably a bit late, but we have a solution with 3DUserNet where you can view your point cloud or model data online in 3D, save projects and views, annotate and take measurements etc, and also share the original dataset with others using our Data Drop feature (Does away with the need for sending USB's etc).
You can upload data directly through a web browser, no downloads or plugins required, so that will hopefully solve those issues for you. You can also send views to your clients so they can see it on their mobile phones or tablets too.(That always gets their attention!).
If you need any help getting started or have questions, please let me know.
Thanks,
Dave

Re: Best Viewing Software for Clients
I would like also a program to be portable and put it in a USB stick in order to deliver it to clients with point clound and view it without internet connection or to install a program in their computer, only from a USB stick what options did we have?
Something like the jetstream viewer but cheaper.

Hi Stuart, stutosney wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2020 8:36 pm I would be keen to get peoples thoughts on how they publish they're point clouds to the client and what software their clients are using to view the registered point clouds. Collecting laser scan data is great, but I would like to able to give the client the actual point cloud so they can view it and do what they wish. We are tied to Leica for registering etc and we have used Cyclone Publisher on trial to produce .lgs files for the client, which worked well. But I wondered what other software people are using, particularly as clients don't often want to pay for a piece of software but still want to view the finished scan.
You can try PointSharePlus,
