Thank you for the information and the updates. Please clarify this statement. Does this mean I don't have to go through the unpleasant task of messing around with my licenses? This is extremely important as a bunch of folks have to get involved every time this happens in my environment. Overhead is not free.MaZschi wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2019 6:56 pm
Customers with SCENE version 2019.0 or higher can use SCENE 2019.2 for free.

I had the feeling that this is a kick start and that this software will be populated in the next 2 years or less with actual fittings and valves and other items. What I really like to see is batch modeling of pipes. maybe Faro should buy clear Edge before Leica does.

I think Faro is doing great on its own, and their product line is amazing and reasonably priced.

Re: FARO launches As-Built Modeler, SCENE 2019.2 and Firmware update 6.5
Very interesting product. I own an As-Built AutoCAD and Revit Suite license, so I hope the licensing is fixed soon. I'm trying the trial version now.
Using the detect cylinders in an industrial scan setting I'm finding a lot of false cylinders in a group of conduits support on trapeze hangers. Any recommendation for settings or selections when there are a tight group of conduits or pipes?
Very nice that the DXF export units are automatically detected by Navisworks so the 3D CAD objects append right where they are supposed to overlaying the Recap scans. Great way to quickly observe deviations or objects that need cleanup!

To my knowledge you don't have to press the license update button to use SCENE 2019.2 if you already have update your license to use the 2019.0 version. It should work the same way as with SCENE 2019.1. I will verify this by today and post a message if this is different. But it would be great to help me to understand your pains with the update process. May we can improve this to reduce it to a minimum with future version. So I would appreaciate if you could send me a PM.Felix_the_Cat wrote: ↑Fri Nov 08, 2019 10:25 pmThank you for the information and the updates. Please clarify this statement. I've always considered Scene to be quiet good in this regard. Unfortunately, 2019.1 won't to our network license server and we haven't been able to take things down to troubleshoot the issue thoroughly. I guess that has just made me appreciate the historical stability of that critical infrastructure even more.Felix_the_Cat wrote: ↑Fri Nov 08, 2019 10:25 pm Thank you for the information and the updates. Re: FARO launches As-Built Modeler, SCENE 2019.2 and Firmware update 6.5
Anyone know if there has been any update on a Modeler license as I already own an As-Built license? Or does Modeler need “another” license?
I currently use SCENE 2019.2 (7.5.0.3055) and when opening the project file where I created CAD cylinders in Modeler I get the notice below and no CAD data appears in the SCENE project. I was under the impression the data transfers back and forth.
