Hi,
We are using a Vive pro and a laptop to review the pointclouds and modells with customers. I really love the SceneVR.
But the problem is, that the rotation point (pivot point?) is not the HMD. Instead it is the center my configured room. This is really annoying. Please change it that the HMD the rotation point is.
Greetings
Raimund Klink

Re: SCENE VR bugfix/ feature request
Could you please explain in more detail what the problem is?
I am having difficulties to understand what is going wrong. Is this related to our deprecated VR Plugin App or its successor, the built-in VR functionality?
Maybe a video or screenshot would also help + the SCENE version number.
I would like to give our software engineers the opportunity to try reproduce the behavior you are describing.
Thanks!

I made a quick sketch for you. Hope it makes the understanding better : )
I should note that the distance to the center of the room is about two meters.

Re: SCENE VR bugfix/ feature request
Thanks for the explanation.
I have used the feature many times before and I have never experienced this issue.
Usually the camera is fixed to the headset position and is only changed via tracking info coming from the Vive drivers.
Is this happening in a specific project? All projects?
Can you confirm that your tracking is working in a stable way and the room-scale setup and calibration is up to date?

Re: SCENE VR bugfix/ feature request
Ok, I tested it further. It happens with all projects. Tested with SCENE 2019.1 and SCENE LT 2019.2flohrd wrote: ↑Wed Nov 06, 2019 5:22 pm Thanks for the explanation.

Again, note that I am ca 2-3 meters away from the room center. Ok, look what happens here: I am standing above a scan. After six button presses I am somwhere else After another six button presses I am back at my starting point. Two more screenshots. Another project, same outcome. After six button presses 12 button presses makes a full rotation.
Tracking is stable. Room setup and calibration is up to date. Latest SteamVR and Windows is installed. Can you confirm that your tracking is working in a stable way and the room-scale setup and calibration is up to date?
