what exactly is the problem? not working at all? not watertight? getting wet triangles?

Ha, you got it. It can do a great 3d solid model but will make just a holy mesh. Have you used RiScan?

Yeah, although not for a while.. Holes usually appear when the max edge length is set too low, so it can't find adjescent points. I also remember something about increasing the max angle....

Have you considered trying 3D ReShaper, its a good program for meshing pointclouds.
Get in touch if you need more details including pricing etc.

Hi Tyler,
Dan's right - increasing the maximum edge length usually closes holes, but at the expense of creating poorer triangles in those areas.
Are you triangulating scans or PolyData?
How many scan positions do you have?
What kind of subject have you scanned? (e.g. tunnel, building etc.)
Have you used plane or polar triangulation?
These answers will help me understand how to help you improve the meshes.
Cheers,
Joe

Re: Water Tight Triangulation Function In RiScan
First thanks everyone for the responses, I have found the best way to create the desired mesh was to get a solid (surface to plane model) and select triangulated area below surface and blow it away, leaving a nice water tight surface. Im not sure when you would want to create a surface with holes, even when your data does not cover certian areas it looks more presentable triangulated.
