Can you tell me how to convert CAD Model to VRML? Do you manually adjust the position at the time of insertion or go to the position value that the model has?

Tested this out and it works like a charm! Thanks for sharing.
Has anyone used the VR feature in Cintoo or any of the other online viewers?

Re: PointCLoud for Virtual Reality
Some CAD packages will give you the possibility to convert out to VRML or WRL.
SAP Visual Enterprise will let you import almost any format to convert it to VRML even in its evaluation configuration !!
As for positioning, you have different ways of looking at things:
- you need perfect positioning from you CAD package >> you have references of your point cloud or the whole data integrated to your CAD package
- you can live with eyeballing your positions and can do it by iteration directly in Scene LT
I personally recommend managing your assets in the CAD packages and converting everything (CAD entities) to VRML for import in SCENE LT.
Hope this helps !
Damien

We use Veesus Arena4D Data Studio as previously mentioned in this thread and an Ocuclus Rift S HMD. Mark and Matt at Veesus are always helpful when you have a question or problem.
It's very intuitive software, and the VR results via Steam VR are amazing. We also use it to produce fly-through animations.
We recently presented some work we did for The Society for the Protection of Ancient Building at their 2019 Members day and Working Party and they were very happy with the results...even if we did have a few wobbles and staggers when people were 'walking around' the point cloud.

Re: PointCLoud for Virtual Reality
I am an ex Faro employee (thought I'd start with that).
As much as I'd like not to like Scene, it is the best VR solution I've seen for point clouds. Faro Scene, Faro Scene LT, Faro Webshare Cloud.
I'm happy to be corrected or pointed in a different direction, especially if it is better value!

Euclideon Vault has an SDK that can be used inside 3rd party apps such as Unity and UE4. We have sample code that we will make available soon, but here is an early video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkwnZlMrs9g
It will display BILLIONS of points instantly, like planet sized at 1mm resolution if you have a model that big.....
