Leica BLK2Go
HANDHELD IMAGING LASER SCANNER
The BLK2GO handheld imaging laser scanner recreates spaces in 3D as you move. It captures images and dimensionally accurate point clouds in real-time and uses SLAM technology to record your trajectory through space.

Re: Leica BLK2Go
I hope to be better than Geoslam without big drifts and not locked software or credits as Geoslam.
Combine it with a terrestrial scanner would be the perfect combination!
Did we know the availability?

It was mentioned several times here at HXGN LIVE 2019, October, 2019 +, depending on development and testing.

Re: Leica BLK2Go
So they are going to sell before it it ready to release. Seems like the same workflow with the original blk and everyone knows how this has evolved...
edit : when they can keep the price in the same range as the geoslam products without the credits this could be a winner.

Re: Leica BLK2Go
Yeap and they produce a sexy video that gives the impression of scan data quality that will be collected. Is this even real at this point? When the first BLK came out the sales reps went around with a non working shell ! Time for them to sell real items with real accuracy tests.

Re: Leica BLK2Go
No Credits (I'm not even sure how we would implement this actually), use REG360 or REG360 BLK edition for processing, USB-C cable download (now we just need this on BLK360 also), Q4 availability apparently, companion app will be available also I hear (though not seen this). Exciting times...landmeterbeuckx wrote: ↑Thu Jun 13, 2019 6:29 amSo they are going to sell before it it ready to release. 6 hours data storage on board. 45 mins operation per battery... if the accuracy is as good as I have heard, people will be very happy.

Re: Leica BLK2Go
I'm curious to see it work. It certainly looks slick and portable. No heavy Leica enthousiast but this seems like a real great addition to other workflows.

I'll check it out at intergeo. I hope the accuracy is better than the Zeb instruments. No use for it for me if it is not within the 0,5cm range.

Re: Leica BLK2Go
Hi everyone,
To clear up a bit of confusion here. It sounds as though we are talking about GeoSLAM from a good number of years ago.
We no longer sell a credit based processing in fact we have not for a number of years now, for all our customers software is perpetual. Also we open our data up as much as possible by exporting to multiple file formats. We are not locking you in our software.
We recently released the ZEB HORIZON with 100m range which makes data capture effortless and drastically reduces the impact of drift. If you want more info: https://geoslam.com/zeb-horizon/
Thanks
