annotation in scene 2 go
Hi. why is not possible to do Annotation within Scene 2 go? I am amazed at the number of clients who have received a copy of scene 2 go data come back to me asking that question. They love the technology but find it pointless that they cannot make notes or store measurements that they have created to use at a further date. maybe it is something Faro may bring in. I am old school and remember earlier versions of webshare that you could add data and export from the webshare file to keep for future reference.

Re: annotation in scene 2 go
I agree completely
That being said
<ctrl> printscreen into a PowerPoint is how we do it
Not elegant, or even all that useful to be honest
But better than nothing
Kinda like those whiteboards with the built in scanner that used to be ubiquitous

Re: annotation in scene 2 go
Hi guys
I think that these functions are limited due to the paid websharecloud service and if Faro were to add these functions to Scene 2 Go it would remove the need for their hosted service.
We use WSC and have nearly 5tb of data uploaded to the service over some 500 projects.
The service is a cost effective way of allowing your clients to access the full blown features such as annotations, measurements and 3D point cloud viewing as a a global project, rather than scan by scan view. You can also apply categories to your scans and annotations etc. all of which can be re-imported back to Scene if so desired.
Including the WSC in your tender fees (small charge) is a simple way of running the service and offering your clients the added benefits of all of the rich features the platform offers.

Re: annotation in scene 2 go
Thank you Simon.
I can understand now why there is the hosted service.
I will look into setting up the WSC. thank you for the advise
