You should also give a try to our specific edge filter (TagLabs) which is very efficient. It offers 3 levels of filtering and the ability of removing shiny points.
It is not part of the prepocessing in Scene, but it is really fast and uses all your processor's cores.
Your scans will be filtered simultaneously.

You can also batch process scans with the edge filter in the pre-processing tab. These options are in the new style UI FYI. Many recent improvements to SCENE are only in the new UI.
