Just a heads up - we had two FARO scanners stolen out of an employee's vehicle last night near City of Industry, CA.
Odds of them showing up are small, but in the event anyone sees either of the following scanners pop up I would appreciate it if you could get in contact with me:
FARO Focus 3D X30 - SN: LLS071508093
FARO Focus S 70 - SN: LLS081811697
Thanks,
Kevin

Re: Stolen FARO Scanners - Los Angeles
I am sorry to hear about your units were stolen.
I recommend to report this to our customer service as well.
They can add information to their system and mark the serial numbers as reported stolen. In case they ever come back to us for calibration or service we can identify them as a stolen unit.
This will not bring back your units immediately but might help to find them at some point.

Re: Stolen FARO Scanners - Los Angeles
That stink's. I hate how people have no respect for things like this. They probably had no idea what they even are. For this reason I hate leaving equipment even at the most secure sites as well as bringing them to my house. I have had a couple of Jobs where I am minutes from my house but choose to drive an hour back to the office and then an hour home instead of taking the scanner to my house because I don't want that responsibility. Had some religious clothing stolen out of my work truck a couple of months back. I'm sure the person that took them thought they were getting a laptop as the bag they were in looks like a laptop case. Hope they show up and catch whoever took them.

That's why I have chosen not to put any advertising on my truck and have a completely closed pick-up compartment. No one knows what I'm doing when I'm parked somewhere.
When I'm in the office all electronic stuff is put away in a secure place. Only tripods etc stay in the car
