That's on the short list!tengui wrote: ↑Wed May 16, 2018 12:43 pm While we're at it, could we also be able to move the pivot point for the rotation ? For now it's scan/cluster center only. In some cases it is faster to manually adjust the odd scan position than redo the whole registration, and it is inconvenient to do so with the current manipulator.

I'm glad I was sat down when I read that!flohrd wrote: ↑Tue Aug 28, 2018 1:55 pm Scene 2018.0 was released today. It contains the auto scaling for the manipulators!

It's great to know that if lots of people constantly complain about an incredibly annoying bug in SCENE that Faro are straight on the case and will do everything they possibly can to fix it within around 5 years.

Re: Manipulator Size in faro Scene
Personally, I'm from this century and I'm glad they are dicking around with VR and all the other things that provide me with discriminators to make my stuff shiny and new and makes Scene so awesome. Maybe you guys should blow the dust off that old transit lying in the corner and try to do things the bad old way. Im sure there are no manipulator issues there.
Keep it coming Faro folks!
And in terms of response time, you are comparing to whom? Leica? Lololol good luck with realworks brother, you will switch to that steaming turd just because of the manipulator issue? HAha you deserve it then

Re: Manipulator Size in faro Scene
And there was much rejoicing.*
Users can certainly have a wide range of different priorities when it comes to software development, but I'll take fast and efficient over shiny any day. I may never have owned a transit, but I will say they have a damned good UI compared to any of the VR "tools" I've used.
It's great to see long standing requests like this get some attention.
*Untested, actual utility of new manipulator TBD.
