Re: BLK360 shipping
Well we know some of the limitations, but the survey group which is housed within the D.O.T. is looking to service more divisions including DGS which is the facilities management group for 400+- COUNTY BUILDINGS.
We have also looked at how we can densify scans around intersections. We manage the Storm drain infrastructure which relines old large storm drains (we've done some of these already with a P20 and C10). Pipes, manholes, large junction structures, etc. Bridge scans for our bridge group.
Wasn't real happy about the posts on here about wet black surfaces. Didn't see those limitation stated earlier in the year.
But we can always carry 50lb bags of talcum powder! :/

Re: BLK360 shipping
Well I got my "Your BLK360 will be ready to ship in 2-3 weeks" in the email on Sept 15 and our P.O. came through the same day from internal purchasing (God loves me! )
Problem is getting a ecommerce product from Leica is a bit tougher with a government agent who has purchasing agents. Have to authorize transfer of our reservation to our purchaser who buys with credit card and then delivers to us, etc etc
Anybody tell me if 2-3 week timeline is true. It's been a month now. I'm antsy

Re: BLK360 shipping
Autodesk ReCap Pro for Mobile 1.2.1 has been on the App Store for 3hrs, but you cannot download it yet (or I have not figured out how to so it).
It is supposed to have HDR and Thermal (almost) imaging, and several other improvements. You need BLK360 firmware 1.1(not available yet? or in December?)

Re: BLK360 shipping
Finally got the Autodesk ReCap Pro for Mobile 1.2.1 to update my iPAD PRO. Did a few scans on the after Thanksgiving dinner table just to check it out using BLK360 firmware v1.1.3.dhirota wrote: ↑Wed Nov 22, 2017 11:24 pm Autodesk ReCap Pro for Mobile 1.2.1 has been on the App Store for 3hrs, but you cannot download it yet (or I have not figured out how to so it).

Re: BLK360 shipping
I do not know if any one with a BLK360 is running the new firmware 1.1.3 and ReCap Pro for Mobile 1.2.1.
I tried Register360 and Cyclone 9.2.0.5745 and received these errors after several scans using the iPAD Pro as a controller. I tried the one-button start and the same error was generated using Register360.
Leica Support is still on vacation until Monday, November 27

Re: BLK360 shipping
The response from LeicaGS support is that although the switch is there for HDR, it does not work yet with Register360 and Cyclone 9.2.0.5745 until the next releases. It is better to keep the HDR switch off until the next releases, so it does not crash like I showed above.
Autodesk's ReCap Pro for Mobile v1.2.1 is supposed to have their first version of HDR working on Mobile, which I have tried but, not transferring it to Desktop ReCap. Some others have told me that when they tried the transfer it crashed using HDR.

Re: BLK360 shipping
I look forward to using a BLK in a year or two, when it's all working
I guess something new will be out for testing by then
