We’ve done a small scan job and processed the scans in Scene 7.0. Targets were used, measured with total station and manually registered.
Only two scans were done , the job processed and looks good in scene. Accuracy reports all ok.
The issue is when exporting as a single ptx and importing to Recap. The two scans are approx. ~1m apart horizontally.
If we export the two scans individually they both import fine.
Is this a scene issue or a Recap one?

Re: Scene 7 ptx export
What version of ReCap? The only past issue I can think of is one about single-file PTX transforms and large coordinates (ReCap would cut digits/precision inadvertently). That was well over a year ago though.
If you aren't on a large coordinate offset (like more than 10km), or you're on a recent (4.0+) version of ReCap, this wouldn't affect you. In which case I don't think this is about ReCap, but would be happy to take a look.

Re: Scene 7 ptx export
I've got this problem also. I had 24 stations, all registered with a good result in SCENE 7 but when I import the project to RECAP, they mess with each other. I had to re-registered again in Recap Don't know that's Recap or Scene 7 issuegraham.watson wrote: ↑Thu Sep 14, 2017 12:06 am We’ve done a small scan job and processed the scans in Scene 7.0. All
Have you tried exporting E57 format.
When importing the E57 to Recap skip the registration process and then index to RCS/RCP
This is a process we use on every project and never fails whether it is 2 scans or 3000 scans

Faro says it's a "known" bug.
