Mining Tunnel Sample Data

Post by Alex@Marcum »

I have a potential client that is wanting us to 3D scan several of their mining tunnels and is ultimately wanting a 3D Model of them. I need to know if our 3D Meshing software will be able to handle a project of this magnitude, does anyone have any sample data that they would be willing to share?

Thanks,
Alex McKinney

I've a tunnel, 24 scans about 300k points on each scan, just points no color or intensity values.

Tell me if you are interested.

Absolutely, would dropbox be the best way to transfer them?

I am also interested in the data. What is the format and did it make it to the dropbox?

Are you trying to upload the raw scan files or the registered point cloud (.e57, .rcp... etc.)? The raw scans would be all I need.

The scan files are plain ASCII files zipped into a 76MB file, that still is uploading WTF!?!?

Looking at the network monitor it said that today i've uploaded 153MB but the file is still uploading...
