What a good idea! I like the fact that you can plug both the Windy31 & a USB memory stick in at the same time. The fact that you can watch a scan finish then set it transfering to the memory stick all from the ipad is great.
I can see a purchase of a hub coming on, however from this time of the year onwards it will be to keep warm in the car while the scanner does its stuff.

no transfer needed just scan to the external usb thumb drive

Use windy31 and scan to external drive at the same time
Don't think I explained this well enough scanning to a usb drive makes it very quick when you need your data
do not make your project on the internal drive also if you do some set up prior to the field you can really save
a lot of time
Using the windy31n to a Ipad mini is the icing on the cake
so when the wifi is connected up you scan to the external thumb drive
