NEW RIEGL VZ-1000 Terrestrial Laser Scanner
Following the success of the ground-breaking VZ-400, Riegl have raised the bar again with he launch of it's big brother, the VZ-1000.
Key specs:
- online waveform processing, for calibrated reflectivity readings and multiple target extraction
- maximum range 1,200m
- repeatability 5mm
- measurement rate up to 122,000 Hz
- field of view 100 x 360 deg
- LAN/WLAN interfaces
- operated by any PC/notebook or cableless
- optional D-SLR camera (Nikon D300(s), D700)
- 31GB internal storage, expandable using USB2 interface
Registration Methods:
- stand-alone registration, using integrated GPS receiver (L1), biaxial inclination sensors, integrated digital compass
- via control points, using automatic detection and fine-scanning of retro-reflective targets
- totalstation- like, using setup over a known point with laser plummet, inclination sensors and backsight to target

We should have one in late August / September. It's pretty much replacing the LMS-Z420i in the Riegl range, so we expect the majority of buyers to be in the mining industry (therefore not in the UK!)
