Hello,
I am new to this forum.
So let me present myself.
I am an artist who uses the raw scanning data from 3d scanning (point clouds) in projects in 3D sculpting software like Zbrush to finally produce a mesh that can be printed or milled to artistic objects (statues).
This way I have gathered a huge library of raw scan data from 3D scanning human subjects (nudes).
For the 3D scanning I have used an Artec Eva scanner and I must say, I am very happy with the scan results. The scans are very accurate with a high level of detail.
Is anyone of you, members of this forum, familiar with processing the raw data gathered from Artec Eva with a scanning software other then Artec Studio?
Raw data that is gathered with the Artec Eva scanner comes always in the form of files with extension .dscan, .mscan and .tscan.
I look forward reading your replies.
Best regards,
Johan

The only other way to process the data not in Artec Studio is to process it in Artec Cloud. You should have a free license up to a certain amount of data. You basically can send to cloud to process the data. Other than that you will have to process the data to the mesh file.

Artec Studio is the worst! Its so clunky. I dont think you have any choice when using Artec hardware unfortunately.
