Hi guys
I've read that one way to wake up Faro batteries is to put them on a long charge inside the scanner with the scanner plugged into the mains. By long I mean about 3 days.
Is this with the scanner turned on or off?
Kind regards, Andrew

PowerDock ACCS-PWR-0013
Cyan -Flashing
Error
Batteries in a "Deep Discharged" state can take up to 26 hours to come out of their “Deep Discharge”, (plus additional hours for final charging). It’s recommended to charge deeply discharged batteries for 36 hours to be at full charge again. If the battery still will not charge it should be replaced.
Verify power supply/power brick being used is the unit supplied with the FARO Scanner. Also verify the connection to the PowerDock and AC wall outlet.

I'm not sure that it has to be in scanner....

Re: Waking up Faro batteries by charging inside scanner?
After speaking with a rep we trust at FARO, we were told that the S Series batteries had an issue before they made a change. They had a type of microchip in them that would lock for some reason.
This has been upgraded and changed recently, but for people who had the older S scanner batteries (S150 S350) they can "Lock" and not take a charge. The video below walks through the hack that we were given to unlock the microchip, it seems to work on about 50% of the batteries we have tried it on. (We have at least 7 batteries sitting that it didn't work on)
I recommend anyone that is getting a red light on their charger when trying to charge one of these batteries at least try this hack.
I hope this helps.

Re: Waking up Faro batteries by charging inside scanner?
Thanks Nic
I've had my battery in the scanner for a couple of days now. FARO recommended a long charge.
Fingers crossed. I must say these batteries are pretty crap. I've had 2 fail in 18 months.
Cheers Andrew
