We put the Hovermap through its paces by mapping Conisbrough Viaduct earlier this month.
Conisbrough Viaduct is over 150ft high and 1500ft in length and would have traditionally taken days to be surveyed by laser scanners.
We were able to create a full LiDAR point cloud by completing two 25-minute flights and one 30-minute backpack surveying utilising the Emesent Hovermap.
For more information on how the Emesent Hovermap can help reduce the time of your surveys and increase ROI, get in contact with our business development director for surveying, James Pick.

Would be interesting to see a side by side comparison of results surveying the same structure from the various devices on the market for this type of work. Spec sheet on the emesent has it as 30mm accuracy and 300k points per second. Similar spec to Zeb horizon and like the Zeb, useable hand held and with other mountings. Blk2Fly is listed as faster and more accurate (20mm and 470k points per second) in their spec sheet but is reported as having very short flight times and doesn't offer the flexibility of doubling up as hand-held or vehicle mounted.
