When I create an elevation slice in RealView, and then try to move to another scan location by clicking a circle on the key plan or a mirror ball in RealView, Recap becomes unresponsive. This is not a random event but it happens systematically. I have seen it on two machines, a laptop with i7 and Windows 11, and a desktop with Ryzen 7 and Windows 10.
I found the following workaround: save the point cloud immediately after creating the elevation slice and exit Recap. After reopening the file your elevation slice is there and everything works all right.

I got a quick reply from Autodesk, they had been able to reproduce the fault and promised a fix in the next release.

I’d just roll back to the previous version until that’s fixed then. When a new autodesk version comes out I try and wait a while as they always have bugs.
