Hi All,
We have created recap files from importing .fls files into Recap, but have noticed that after the import and indexing everything is fine and aligned,
But when we re-open the recap .rcp file the key plan doesn't align with the mirror balls; has anyone else seen this before?

Re: Key Plan not aligned with scan
You are not alone with this problem. I have seen it once with the new Recap version, mostly it works right.
BTW, when I imported this particular rcp point cloud to Autocad, the registration was completely lost and all scans were centered at the origin.

Re: Key Plan not aligned with scan
There is an option to write the scan location (Geo referenced or local) into scan header in our ZF Control software and it always helps to keep the registration intact. Perhaps something like that must be found in your scanner software. Also did you "skip the registration" while indexing the fls files?

Re: Key Plan not aligned with scan
This seems to happen occasionally with Recap v.23.0.
We use Recap to register Faro scans (fls). After registration everything else looks ok but the key plan is shifted and/or rotated.
As a workaround I have exported the registered point cloud as e57 (option "complete"), then created a new rcp project and imported the e57 with option "skip registration". Now the key plan should be right.
