Hello,
I have 2 scans of the same water tank from 2 different occasions.
I ran a cloud-vs-cloud analysis to see deviations in the tank structure:
Next I am trying to add deviation annotation around the tank and in different elevations. I ran 5 planar sections and would like to annotate deviation ("Measure Deviation" tool) along each section line:
Can you please advise how can this be done without having to do so manually?

Re: Measure Deviation along Section Lines
Hello Amir
There are different ways in Cyclone 3DR to compare 2 point clouds of a tank shell ,through sections:
- Make an inspection between two planar sections extracted from the 2 point cloud + Edit Colors to display the deviations
https://youtu.be/UkHh_9HjGiU (see at 1:23)

- Mesh one cloud and project the inspection colors on the mesh + create planar sections which will automatically retrieve the inspection information from then inspected mesh (+ Edit colors to display the deviations)
- Use the workflow Create Profile along polyline (Survey or AEC Edition)
The Tank module uses a reference cylinder to analyze the shell of an above ground storage tank.
Do not hesitate to refer to the help center (command by command), follow the beginner guide + the practicals and of course the e-learning course.

Re: Measure Deviation along Section Lines
Thanks, Nicolas.
I tried the section vs. section comparison - did not work correctly.
The deviation projection on Mesh is what I used eventually at this moment.
