Is that the Image Frame?
If so, in the command line type "imageframe" then "0" and you should turn off the image border.

There is also another option.
1)select all tiles
2) explode command
3) edit tiles

Re: hide rectangle in AutoCAD
I get a glitch with AutoCAD 2014 where I need to turn IMAGEFRAMEE on and off twice for it to actually hide the frame. You can also use IMAGECLIP if your image is larger than your viewport.
If you don't see that there is nothing, then you are kidding yourself.
