If you are more interested in images than point cloud accuracy, have you looked at the Matterport camera?

It does 360 images in about 45 seconds in extremely hi-res. It is user friendly and all processing is done by Matterport themselves, they will also generate 2D plans for you as well as a 'doll-house' point cloud. It will NOT be survey grade accuracy, but the software is excellent for visualisation allowing you 'tag' anything in the image and add external references, info tabs, documents etc.

It sounds like it would be good for what you are looking for, particularly the tags, If you need any more info, drop me a message or check out their website.

Hi David,

We are currently working with 49 GeoSLAM ZEB Pano systems in the Netherlands. I would agree that the best approach would be a combination of terrestrial scanning, Total Station control and mobile Scanning for the bulk of the space.Maybe we could be of assistance. If you yould like more info you could DM me or contact me at [email protected]

Best regards,

Karl van Duffelen

Sounds very interesting project. It just caught my eye since our partner in Sweden has just now recently done something similar with NavVis:

Daniel is the man to contact if you want to have deeper insights how was their approach but I have to say it was pretty impressive project.
