Hello all,
I have a little experience operating our scanner (FARO FocusS70) and Scene software, however, I am not in tune with all their capabilities. My question, is there a way to extract data for shell deflection on tank/vessels? I am pretty sure there is due to the fact that the data exists when a scan is done, I just don't know where to start to say, export an excel file at incremental elevations. does Scene have such a function? I have attached a graph of the type of data we are looking for as reference.

Re: Measuring vessel shell deflections
Reshaper and BuildIt both do these unwrapping deviation reports. Both are great packages but be forewarned, both have a steep learning curve. Happy to help if you have the scan data. PM if i can be of assistance.

Re: Measuring vessel shell deflections
You could have a look into FARO's As-Built software suite and into FARO's BuildIT Construction.
Both are very powerful but differ in their overall application focus.
Best regards,
Oliver Bürkler
