Dear all,
is it possible to visualise an already registered point cloud in Register360 WITHOUT the software doing something. I just had a play with it and ticked the option Pre-Registered (Cloud2Cloud was ticked off - I haven't pushed the optimisation button). After import Rg360 spat out numbers which makes me worry that the original registration may be manipulated.
Does somebody know if I'm still looking at the original orientation of the imported scans?
All the best
Daniel

If preregistered was ticked during import then there should only be one link to each setup unless you run cloud to cloud on all links then there won't be modifications. After import you should lock everything so it won't change later.Daniel Wujanz wrote: ↑Wed Nov 30, 2022 9:39 am Dear all,

Like Adam said, it'll automatically create 1 link between all setups. Keep in mind, it seems kind of arbitrary on which setups it links together even if they were to have terrible overlap with one another. That's why some of the error values may seem worse than you were expecting. Just lock all links immediately after import that way it doesn't change or affect the point cloud in any capacity. If you check pre-registered during import, it'll retain the previous coordinate system as well.Daniel Wujanz wrote: ↑Wed Nov 30, 2022 9:39 am Dear all,

The only boxes that should be ticked before import is Pre-Registered and Import Images (if you had an e57 with images included). I think the Auto B&W is turned on by default, so just double check that's off as well and you should be set.

Thanks Adam and Kruse,
I was just confused by the "metrics" that were computed despite the fact that I've just imported the data.
All the best
Daniel
