CLM Licensing - Multiple License Occupancy
Hello everyone,
I am currently facing an issue where CLM assigns multiple Cyclone licenses of the same type to a single user. For example, a single user, running a single instance of Cyclone, on a single workstation may be assigned two or sometimes three register licenses. I’ve been working with Leica to try and solve this but we can’t find a fix. If you have / have had a similar issue it would be great to know about it so that we can try to narrow down the cause.
Thanks!

Re: CLM Licensing - Multiple License Occupancy
As a temp workaround you could borrow a single license locally then set the server to local so that it doesn't try to take one from the sever

Hi Steven, Hope you're well. Thanks for your reply. We do have a temporary solution that works for us. I'm just looking for a fix. With so many variables at play it's difficult to identify the possible cause.

Re: CLM Licensing - Multiple License Occupancy
Unfortunately not at the moment, our IT department has been in contact with Leica about the issue. In the meantime we just stop and re-start the server and it usually resolves itself.

Re: CLM Licensing - Multiple License Occupancy
Hasn't this always been the issue.... We moved to Standalone Machines for each software, oh, I think I started doing that back in like 2011... Never been an issue since moving to having a Computer Dedicated to each aspect with the CLM installed local. Then use Cisco or Go to my PC if you get into the machine from another location.
Can remember at the HDS user session at HxGN live 2019 this was also brought up, especially how Register360 is a license hog, and will take every available license it can...
