Can anyone remember how I will keep the polyline in the right position? (the blue direction)
When I draw it in the top plane is ok but when I rotate the view with orbit it does not keep it to the right position.

Re: Cloudworx question
Are you drawing in 2D or 3D?
If you snap to the points you will be drawing polylines in 3D but if you're just tracing the cloud from above the lines will be all on the same level.

Re: Cloudworx question
Phil I want to draw either in 3d or in 2d and keep the poly line in right position. If you notice the perspective you will see a poly line that was moved in 3d but when I rotate it to the top plane is in the right position.

Re: Cloudworx question
If you want to draw in 3D either snap to the points or create a working plane that particular level.
Do you use the show smart view picking viewport?

Re: Cloudworx question
We use the Smart Pick window a bunch. That way you can control your cloud view with clips and then apply the "Ground Point" or "Highest point" to get it to snap to the correct point on the cloud (i.e top or bottom edge of face plane within a specified limit -0.5 or 1 cm) and verify at the same time. Both 3d & 2d snap have to be on in CAD (we use Civil 3D). Just need to make sure your working clips eliminate all artifacts above you object (yours looks like a wall?)
