Good afternoon all,
Has anyone had an issue when trying to visually align scans, when you optimize the contraint the "Cloud Registration Progress" box shows a single long line at the 0.550m error position and the rest of the data close to 0.000m?
The alignment then appears to pull the data between the all of the data averaging out the error and causing my scans not to align correctly.
The process also takes about 5 minutes to run rather than 5 seconds.
Thanks
Dave

Have you tried looking in the control space for any anomalies? Trees, moving objects etc - something which could cause an issue? I've never seen such a random line in 15 years of using Cyclone....

Thanks Paul,
I had cleaned both control spaces/set default cloud with the data and ensured there are no sparse points in the distance.
Other than that I have no idea, if I find a fix I will update the post.

Hi Dave,
Why do you have the search radius so large at nearly 0.55m?
If you reduce this to say 0.15m then it will run much quicker.

your rms error is over 3m. use visual alignment or pick points to get the 2 clouds close together. 0.2-0.3m radius
