Performing a feature extraction

Post by phillhend »

Hello all,

I am testing out our department's Surphaser and I have a scanned girder of which I have isolated the joining plate/gusset plate in order to play around with the Polyworks IMinspect software. What I would like to do is to create a smoothed mesh over the plate and then use the bolt hole cylinder features as a cutting feature to edit the mesh and ultimately create an actual model of the whole girder based on the LiDaR scan data. Anyone with experience using Polyworks please help me find an answer thank you!

Attached is a picture of the plate in Polyworks

Regards,

Phill
