CloudWorx for Navisworks brings to Navisworks:

 Direct access to Cyclone IMP and JetStream data sources means no long conversion and
importing time needed before being able to access the data.

 Cyclone and JetStream’s easy project access makes finding and loading point cloud data a push
button operation vs a major file management and attachment process

 The implementation of TruSpace provides a unique and easy way to manage your location within
the cloud and provides an unsurpassed experience, as if you are there.

 CloudWorx data scalability means point cloud project size is no longer a limitation and even the
most massive data sets open instantly and render real-time all the time.

 The point cloud management tools like limit boxes, slices and saved clips provides another
invaluable management tool, making even huge projects easy to work with and manage.

 The unique clash checking tools will be familiar to Navisworks users but provide a whole new set
of powerful point cloud specific clashing tools unlike anything available in Navisworks before
such as Anti-clash and clash-by-clash viewpoint jumping.

 JetStream's all-the-points, all-the-time rendering, plus efficient multi-user simultaneous access to a single database.

Low Cost Clashing
In addition to new tools providing the enhanced point cloud clashing features, CloudWorx clashing works
inside of Navisworks Simulate and there is no need for the more expensive Navisworks Manage
module.

CloudWorx 1.0 for Navisworks is compatible with Navisworks Simulate and Manage 2015 and 2016.

Whilst it's great to be able to have the Cloudworx platform for point clouds available in the construction industry's most widely used model co-ordination and verification software, I believe the above two points are the biggest advantage that this brings.

Being able to create clashes and maybe more importantly, anti-clashes, using workflows that are familiar to existing Navisworks users opens up the repeated scanning through construction concept to be viable.

For instance, if the BIM co-ordinator wants to check if trade X has installed the 50 lights they were supposed to he can run an anti clash just on instances of that light against the point cloud.
If 3 were not installed, Cloudworx will identify this and in a familiar Navisworks interface, offer the user the ability to review each instance and action it accordingly.

People I have spoken to that work in such roles are really excited about the possibilities that this opens up for them. 8-)
