Using a production model of the new Topcon GLS-2000 (after several months with a pre-production instrument), here is a blog post that shows how its coaxial onboard camera (versus the wide angle external one), can be used for high resolution window scans of buildings.

Here's an image from that post showing the "sphere" view in Scanmaster software and the image mosiac / point cloud. Acquisition time was under five minutes.
