Today's #Topcon Jolly

Post by andyevans »

I revisited a site that I used a long time ago to showcase the value of the IS. Nice curvy-wurvy structure, perfect for the tools we have available to us then and even more so now.

The difference was 20pps versus 120,000pps. 1 hour on site and a few button presses with the new Shape Matching functionality in ScanMaster v3.0 resulted in this all before morning coffee break.

I'll break this down into smaller sections and run a few deliverables over the next few posts. What you see here are Orthophotos generated from rectified screenshots, I haven't included the world files here.

Watch this space!

Got to love the two helicopters you picked up.

Is that all the data displayed looks a little low res.

Helicopters move quick - we scan quicker :D

The focus of the project was the underpass, so the surface data is not in high detail but is also displaying low res, ScanMaster was running with the production "quality" visualisation setting (default) - read: screen resolution - rather than Best Quality (I forgot to select Best).
