Nice approach Aaron.

Just wondering: did you put other poles on top to get further down?
The green stuff on the roof looks quite slippery by the way....

We only risked 1 pole haha! It was enough.

The green stuff was slick and the whole tower curved. We had safety harnesses for scanning on the curved part of the tower.

Looking for ideas... We are scanning interior of a large, circular furnace. Need some sort of system to cantilever into the space, then mount and slide the FARO out into the space.

The opening is small, say 20" square. Our thought is an 8' ladder with some sort of track mounted on top. The furnace isn't huge, say 24' diameter with multiple levels. We will have a helper on the inside who is confined space certified. But the floor is uneven and we can't count on placing a tripod on the floor.
