PointCloud To Model Outsource recommendations
I’ve been avoiding this far as long as possible, but finding skilled Drafters is extremely difficult.
I know all the cons to outsourcing modeling; I don’t need to hear any more of it.
What i am looking for is any recommendations anyone might have.
We are looking for
• Point cloud to Revit model (Architectural)
• Point cloud to CAD model. (Oil and Gas)
• Limited meshing.
• Piping must be solids with center line
Regards,

Re: PointCloud To Model Outsource recommendations
Good luck in your search.
We have recently being trying to find people with the required skills for a short term contract here. It's even harder when it HAS to be Microstation.
At least Revit and AutoCAD should give you a slightly broader user base.

I received your portfolio and am very impressed. Your qualifications are perfect for our needs, those are the tools and skills that we have chosen for our project. If I could afford your services, I would hire you on the spot. I saved your contact in the "top talented" category. Who knows, perhaps my project (see it below) will have some sort of income ...

Great! You don't have to hurry on our account, please take your time. I am still putting together a team and the best news is that we will not be using that pointcloud file that the company Scientific Analysis and his chief designer, Mike McCormick (you can see him in the PBS video) generously donated to our cause.caddrafting2013 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 02, 2018 4:04 am Hey Ramon.

We have concluded that a complete repeat of the work must be done because our goals are much more ambitious.
*Apparently* (actually, they are serious this time, after I showed them some results) a not-for-profit organization will sponsor that work, with many more scans (8 were done in 2013, we are planing to do 25-30 sometime before November 15, day of their convention and big announcement) plus aerial photogrammetry which was not done in the original project.
For the time being, I will send you a link to the Dropbox where the 2013 pointcloud resides and ask my Head Designer (recruited in these very pages 48 hours ago) to decide on the job breakdown.
Thanks, Adam !!!
