Laser re:Scanning Forum tops 19,000 registered members!
19,000 registered members is a nice number.
Is it possible to see a graph indicating the membership growth since the LSF first launched? How is this industry doing worldwide?
Many thanks!
Scott

For registered members that are posting information on LSF, is it important to see graphically the geospatial location of the 19K registered members?

Re: Laser re:Scanning Forum tops 19,000 registered members!
A huge thanks to everybody who makes this forum possible. Those of you working hard behind the scenes as well as everyone who takes the time to write the thoughtful comments I love reading and have the opportunity to learn from.
Recently I had a similar thought, that it would be really interesting to see a graph of the number of posts per month in the most active sub-forums. Seeing the waxing and waning of the various sections might provide some interesting insight in to how the community has changed and evolved over the years.

This would be very useful for me as well.
Congrats to Jason, Phil for keeping the LSF up and running and growing. Great community.

Coming from a land survey background myself, the industry has moved from only the larger or more specialised companies having scanning capability to the vast majority having scanning and drones.

Thanks Jason--I do appreciate the chart, and where the data originated (The Wayback Machine)!
Perhaps it's my morning brain that hasn't quite come up to optimum speed, but my eyes see a chart that looks all too linear to believe entirely! There must be some highs and lows in those years. What do other think? Shouldn't it look like a point cloud ?
