Re: Something new coming soon
Not a fan of these manufacturer product teasers, though all the manufacturers are at it. Cynically I consider them an attempt to muddy the water for those who already have a product to sell in the same market sector. I'll hold off getting excited until I see the product spec, price and sample data.

Teasers are a fun way to show you all what’s coming soon.
There is no attempt (or need) To muddy any waters.
I have been waiting for this opportunity for a long time.
You may not know this, but I was a customer before I came to work for FARO, so it has been rewarding to work on a product from that perspective.. what I would want..

Re: Something new coming soon
I sort of agree (having also worked for a manufacture) with no details or Dates. How long do we hold our breath, a day a week a month or years.
Actually something I am interested in.
Are the colors really that mutted and why are there 6 targets on the seats.
Teasers just raise questions that manufactures wont answer.

Steve,
I’ll be able to answer a lot of questions once the announcement is made.
As you might suspect, I have done a “bit” of testing with the kit..

Re: Something new coming soon
My point exactly no announcement date. Doesn't matter how far in the future it is a teaser is worthless without a time frame

Re: Something new coming soon
Having been though the vaporware epidemic in the 80s and 90s I remain cynical of this type of marketing. To be fair, the LinkedIn post has a date of the 8th of July so the time frame is very short, assuming of course that the information released then isn't simply another teaser in a long chain.ddustin wrote: ↑Fri Jul 03, 2020 12:52 am Teasers are a fun way to show you all what’s coming soon.

I much prefer to adopt the 'wait until the early adopters have spent their own money to find the company's faults, then buy the fixed version' approach.
