Hello,
I am looking to create walk through experiences inside buildings. I have some 3D scanners that produces point cloud files. I have tried to create a mesh with textures from these files and also had a look at some softwares which takes images as input and outputs mesh. But, neither of these approaches seem to produce realistic models as they have lots of broken edges and deformed objects. I would like to know what other possible ways are available to achieve this. Any inputs would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Santosh

The easiest way in my opinion, as far as delivering to clients goes, is a video. There are lots of softwares out there that can make videos out of point clouds (I've had good success with Arena4D), and DaVinci Resolve is great for video editing (free). Make a video, host on your favourite streaming site and share a link. Easy peasy. You can even make a 360 video if your client wants to dabble in VR.
