I just attended the SPAR3D conference in Anaheim CA this last week. Fantastic conference! There were so many classes to pick from and tons of exhibitors showing their latest "stuff"!
I am asking about a software that I also saw in Houston TX a few years ago, Blue Marble Global Mapper, new LiDAR module. They make what appears to be a very robust program with a new LiDAR module that looks like it does some pretty cool stuff. Total cost is very low.
I did a search here and find there has been almost no discussion about them on the forum. So I'm asking if any of you have used their LiDAR package and if so what do you think of it?
I am a land surveyor who uses LiDAR (FARO X330) scanner to do topo maps, measured building plans and accident case captures.
Any thoughts and or suggestions on this program would be apprecitaed!
Accurcy and ease of use are 2 major considerations for me.
Thank you.
Paul

Re: Blue Marble, Global Mapper, LiDAR module, review
Paul,
I have the basic program with the lidar module. I use it mainly to crop aerial images for use in gis software. I also use it to view pointclouds and have experimented with lidar classification which works excellent.
It is the best bang for the buck and they have tons of movies, webinars,... available to learn the software.
i haven't used it to extent because of lack of time.
