I am looking for advice from those of you that already have a Leica BLK360. What accessories should I pickup at the time of purchase? Number of batteries/extra chargers? Is the BLK tripod worthwhile, or should I just stick with my Induro that has worked with with FARO scanners? The Transport Hood looks cool...but curious if it serves a functional purchase if the intent is to store/transport in a Pelican-type case. I'm assuming the extended warranty is a no-brainer...
Many thanks,
Mark

Re: BLK360 Accessories
I purchased the 2 extra batteries, extra charger, $100 tripod adapter (you will need 1/4 inch male to 5/8 inch female adapter), Leica tripod, but has no bubble level (maybe not if you have a camera tripod with bubble level and you will use the tripod adapter, or use standard tripod, with bubble level), ONE YEAR ADDITIONAL WARRANTY (ONLY AT TIME OF PURCHASE).
I did not purchase the bag or the combination purchase.

Re: BLK360 Accessories
from "young" BLK360 user adds extra batteries. A battery makes about 30-40 scans. The tripod is very comfortable to carry (it's closed and it's really compact: 34cm x 12cm x 4cm. It's pretty flat ... like a book). It is stable but is a bit low (95 cm). I did not take the bag (it seems too expensive).

Re: BLK360 Accessories
Hello,
for all BLK users who still need accessories, please send us your requirements or ideas. Unfortunately, no BLKs have been delivered in Germany yet and therefore we were not able to take a look at the device ourselves. As soon as we have a BLK, we will also check whether our targets work with the BLK as well as the other Leica scanners.
For all those who need inspiration, have a look at our laser scanner webshop.

Re: BLK360 Accessories
After working with it a bit I like the following accessories:
I do recommend the "Mission kit" with the extra batteries, charger, tripod and bag etc.
I also recommend the extended warranty for sure
the tripod adapter for a camera tripod. I have a great one and it even has a bit of a telescoping head, so it gets quite a bit higher than the leica tripod. On a plane, the leica tripod is so compact that I like it.
Definitely get the bullet case cover even if you keep it in a pelican case
A Pelican case, I found that the pelican air 1485 case works great
you will need the ipad and an ipad cover/case
you might consider what is called the Pro charger from leicas other instruments because it will charge up to 4 batteries at once. ($750.00)
I think that is all on my list so far...
